Popclip review11/30/2023 ![]() PopClip will also continue to be available on the Mac App Store as before, and existing customers don’t need to do anything. I’ve personally been a Setapp subscriber for several years and use many Setapp apps (including CleanShot X for all my GIFs on this forum). I maintain you shouldn't even consider any kind of software like CMM or Onyx unless you are running Time Machine or another back up solution regularly.Setapp costs $9.99 per month and give access to 230+ Mac apps. You can easily cause a lot of chaos if you don't know what you're doing. If you're not sure what such applications are asking you to let them do, you probably also shouldn't use the software. If you're not a fan of jumping into the deep end of "Here Be Dragons" then you really don't need CMM or Onyx. I'll be clear though - don't use applications like CMM or Onyx unless you know what you're doing and you're fine fiddling around with things that don't need to be fiddled with. If I'm seeing any weird behavior, I'll run CMM or Onyx (or both). What I like is the function to clean out leftovers from uninstalled software. There are those who maintain that Macs don't need applications like CleanMyMac, as the OS is self-maintaining and third party software, while well-meaning, could screw up your system, but I've used CMM for years without issue. CleanMyMac is from MacPaw Software, who have been around forever. Oh and by the way it's $20.50 for a lifetime license with upgrades for as long as the dev keeps it going I've probably assigned 100+ gestures at this point, so you can get an idea of how essential it becomes to the way you use your computer. This is just scratching the surface of what I have.
